The Crown Princess carries out a walk in Blekinge

On Friday 13 April, The Crown Princess carried out her fifth walk through the provinces of Sweden in Blekinge. The walk took place in the nature area near Ronneby.

The day began with a visit to Hulta Preschool, where The Crown Princess met pupils and staff, and found out how the preschool is based on environmental and sustainability aspects.

The preschool is based on a 'cradle-to-cradle' concept, which involves social and product development having much to gain from being like ecological systems where energy and materials are used efficiently and cyclically, instead of being consumed and generating waste.

Ronneby's mineral spring
Ronneby's mineral spring dates back to 1705, and was Sweden's most visited curative spa in the late 1870s. Blekinge has a long tradition of natural experiences close to its towns, and Ronneby has long been a centre for leisure activities and a historic spa town.
